finish line entry.....

January 31st, 2010

Well Tracy Joel and I finished in 3 hours 52 minutes. We had the time of our lives. Nothing like navy seal training on vacation:) I am not going enter much right now because I am HUNGRY and need a beer! It is 2 hours after the finish line and we have yet to shed the major shivering. Joel couldn't even hold his hot chocolate because he was spilling it. We are back at the hotel and the Hot water is out. i am using a hair dryer to keep me warm. Stick it under my sweatshirt. Tracy has a nice cut on his head. Medics wanted him to stop but he didn't. Probably would have beat Joel and I if he didn't get stopped. Joel is in the tub washing out the dirt in his undies. Pretty funny! We are sorting through trying to find all the places we have dirt and mud. Nose, ears, shoes undies, you name we've found it there:)
The muscles in my back hurt from shivering. Tell you what that race was hard. The most challenging thing is keeping your wits about ya (as they say) but never underestimate the will of humans we can accomplish some major feats. Battling Cancer, surviving a war and tackling this challenge.
Night to all and look for the race description entry tomorrow-off to wales so should have plenty of time to write.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers they help.

Chris
